Today's word is aberrant. It is an adjective meaning markedly different from an accepted norm.
In today's society, especially among young people, abstinence is considered aberrant behaviour. Committing to one person for the rest of your life in marriage is also seen as aberrant behaviour. Not so long ago, it was aberrant if you didn't get married or if you had sex before you were married.
Boy, how times have changed!
