Word of the day: Furtive

Furtive is an adjective meaning done quickly and secretly to avoid being noticed.

Whenever I trip in public, I always take a furtive glance behind me to find out if anyone saw. Once, I tripped and when I took my furtive look around, an older gentleman saw and was smirking (omg!). I was so embarrassed!!
